Chicago Native Nina Chanel Abney, grounded in New York, has aligned up with Jordan Brand to release her own Air Jordan 2 collaboration. Her work captures contemporary culture mixed in with subjects like race, celebrity, politics, sex and art history. Her paintings are included in collections around the world like the Brooklyn Museum and Hong Kong.
The shoe design whispers a simple white and red colorway with OG blocking makeup from the 1987 release. The upper structures white leather mixed with reptile texture overlay panel, suede at the heel and toe and red feel counter.
